Snowfall continues, but snow level edges up

Update

The storms just keep coming, but it will be a tad warmer for part of the week.

Sunday will start with snow (1-4”). Then the precipitation will continue with a rain/snow mix up to the lower alpine (just below Roundhouse) as milder air moves in. The robust storm moving into the region on Sunday is responsible for drawing in the milder air from the southwest.

Snow levels will drop (below mid station) on Monday, with continuing snowfall - so I would favor Monday if you have the option.

Much of the rest of the week will bring mild weather with a rain/snow mix up to about the Roundhouse elevation (Whistler) or near the top of Jersey Cream (Blackcomb side). The persistent southwesterly flow for much of the week is what will cause mild weather with a rain/snow mix.

Friday looks like a good ski day as a cold front finally brings the snow level down to the Village and dumps new snow top to bottom. - peak to creek. Next weekend will see a break Saturday, then snow top to bottom on Sunday - a powder day.
