Update

We’ll see a slight change to our weather pattern on Wednesday as a weak storm tracks south of Colorado throughout the day. This storm’s impact on the weather at Winter Park will be minimal. Expect more clouds on Wednesday, and some of these clouds could produce snow showers which might drop a dusting to an inch or two during the day, if a stronger cell hits the mountain. Temperatures will be cooler than Tuesday, only topping out in the low-to-mid 20s.

For Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, expect mostly sunny weather with high temperatures warming from the upper 20s on Thursday to the mid-30s on Friday and Saturday.

Our next chance for a more significant storm will be on Sunday and Sunday night. This system should start to drop flakes on Sunday morning or midday, and the snow will likely continue through Sunday evening. Your best chance for skiing powder will be during Sunday afternoon and/or first chair on Monday. My early estimate is for 4-8 inches of snow accumulation.

Beyond the Sunday storm, we’ll likely see dry weather for much of next week, with another storm (or storms) between March 9-12.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
