Winter Park Daily Snow

Update
Tuesday was a beautiful day with temperatures in the 20s and sunny skies throughout the day. Gorgeous!
Now on Wednesday morning, high-and-mid level clouds are moving over Colorado, so expect a partly-to-mostly cloudy day with temperatures rising from a morning low of 20 degrees to a daytime high in the mid-30s.
Thursday will be similar to Wednesday with partly-to-mostly cloudy skies and a daytime high in the mid-to-upper 30s to low-40s.
Storm from Thursday night through Friday afternoon
Expect 4-8 inches of snow during this time. I think the best chance for steady snow will be from late Thursday night through Friday midday. The issue with this system will be the warm temperature, which will mean thicker, denser snow and a rain/snow level around 8,000-9,000 feet. Thankfully, Winter Park's high elevation (base is at 9,000 feet) means that precipitation should fall as all snow on the mountain. And, this could be yet another storm when we could see more snow than expected as some models indicate that Winter Park's location, near the continental divide, could be very favorable for deeper snow.
Break on Saturday
We will likely see dry weather for most of Saturday with temperatures zooming into the 40s as warm air invades ahead of our next storm. There could be a shower during the day, but I think most of the time will be dry.
Next storm from Saturday night through Monday morning
I am excited about this storm as it will bring lots of energy and moisture, which could translate into lots of snow. My Initial forecast is for about 6-12+ inches. Expect intense snow on Saturday night into Sunday morning, then more intermittent snow during the day on Sunday. Snow showers should continue on Sunday night and then end by Monday morning. Once again, temperatures will be warm, so expect thicker, dense snow on Saturday night and Sunday. Then, as colder temperatures arrive, we'll see fluffier snow on Sunday night into Monday morning.
Longer range
Winter Park will be open through Sunday, April 29th, and we’ll see more snow by then. Look for a few inches of snow on Wednesday morning (April 11), a colder storm sometime between Thursday to Saturday, April 12-14, and another storm possible around April 17-18.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
