Winter Park Daily Snow

Update
Wednesday was mostly cloudy with highs in the mid-to-upper 30s.
Thursday should be similar to Wednesday, perhaps with a bit more sunshine in the morning, more clouds in the afternoon, and a daytime high ranging from the in the mid-30s at the summit to the mid-40s at mid-mountain.
Storm from Thursday night through Saturday morning
Expect 5-10 inches of snow during this time, and I updated the forecast to show that snow might continue from Friday evening through Saturday morning. I think the best chance for steady snow will be from late Thursday night through Friday midday, and perhaps again on Friday evening. The issue with this system will be the warm temperature, which will mean thicker, denser snow and a rain/snow level around 8,000-9,000 feet (Winter Park's base elevation is 9,000 feet, so we should see all snow).
(Maybe a) break on Saturday
You should find fresh snow in the morning (due to the snow that fell on Friday night), and then I thought that Saturday would be dry. But the latest models show a chance of showers through the day. This isn’t necessarily good news as temperatures will be very warm, so showers that do fall will transition to more rain than snow through the day, with a rain/snow level rising to 10,000-11,000 feet by the afternoon (the elevation of the summit is 12,000 feet).
Next storm from Saturday night through Monday morning
The most intense snow should fall on Saturday night with 5-9+ inches ready for you on Sunday morning. Following a break in the action on Sunday morning, snow showers should return on Sunday afternoon, Sunday evening, and then will end on Monday morning. Once again, temperatures will be warm, so expect thicker, dense snow on Saturday night and Sunday morning, then as colder temperatures arrive on Sunday evening, we'll see fluffier snow on Sunday night into Monday morning.
Longer range
Winter Park will be open through Sunday, April 29th, and we’ll see more snow by then. Look for a few inches of snow on Wednesday morning (April 11), a colder storm sometime between Thursday to Saturday, April 12-14, and another storm possible around April 17th.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
