Update

We will have a chance of snow every day for the next five days. Let’s get to it!

Storm #1: Wednesday & Thursday

We’ll see some snow showers on Wednesday midday and evening, then a better chance of consistent snow on Wednesday night through Thursday midday. Some models are showing only 1-3 inches, others show up to 6 inches. Keep your expectations on the lower side and watch the snow stake cam to be ready for the high side. The best powder should be on Thursday morning and midday.

Storm #2: Friday & Saturday

We should see a break in the snowfall on Thursday afternoon, though snow showers could hit now and again on Thursday evening and Friday morning. The better chance for snow will be from Friday midday through Saturday midday when the wind blows from the west and west-northwest, which are OK directions for Winter Park. The snow total by Saturday afternoon should be 3-6 inches with the best powder likely on Saturday morning.

Storm #3: Sunday – Tuesday

The forecast continues to change. The latest update shows a weaker system for Winter Park with only light snow amounts. The most noticeable impact from this system will be the cold temperatures with highs in the single digits and teens.

Outlook

We might see additional light snow later next week, then the sun should return from about December 8-11. Models consistently show the next storm arriving around December 12th.
