Winter Park Daily Snow

Snow returns to Winter Park
Summary
Flakes will fall on Saturday morning, then another storm should bring snow on Sunday night through Monday night.
Short Term Forecast
Friday was dry and mostly sunny with comfortable high temperatures in the upper teens to low 20s.
Then just before sunrise on Saturday, snow began, and as of 500am, I see about 1 inch of accumulation at the mid-mountain snow stake. We’ll see flakes through Saturday mid-morning with a coating to 3 more inches possible.
From Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon, expect dry weather with temperatures in the teens and 20s.
On Sunday night into Monday morning, the next storm will bring snow to northern Colorado with 2-5 inches possible and potentially soft turns on Monday morning. Then after a break on Monday midday, additional energy from this storm could bring a little more snow on Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Extended Forecast
Following the snow on Sunday night into Monday night, we should see drier weather from Tuesday through Thursday. It’s possible that weak storm energy could deliver a few flakes during this time, but for the most part, we should be dry.
Then from Thursday night through Sunday, January 21-24, one or two storms could bring snow back to the mountain. My confidence is low about any details, though if I had to hedge, I’d look at Saturday and Sunday, January 23-24, as days with potential snowfall.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
