Dry through Monday, then snow likely Tuesday into Wednesday at Winter Park

Summary

Sunday and Monday will be dry with high temperatures around 40 degrees. On Tuesday into Wednesday, we will see snow with potential powder on Wednesday morning.

Short Term Forecast

On Saturday, skies were sunny all day and on-mountain high temperatures rose between the upper 30s and mid-40s.

Sunday’s weather will be similar to Saturday with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures near 40 degrees. We might see just a few more clouds during the late afternoon.

Monday’s weather will be similar to Sunday with at least partly sunny skies and high temperatures in the mid-to-upper 30s. This will be the last fully dry day for a while.

From Monday night through Tuesday, I expect scattered snow showers with maybe a coating to a few inches of accumulation.

Then from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday night, a steadier round of snow should deliver 2-5+ inches and Wednesday morning has a chance to offer a low-to-moderate amount of fresh powder.

Extended Forecast

Beyond Wednesday morning, we will see chances for snow and cooler temperatures through the end of the week, the upcoming weekend, and maybe even into early the following week (Monday and Tuesday, April 19-20).

However, I have very low confidence about the details of the forecast for these days as some models show rounds of moderate snow accumulations every 24 hours or so, and other models show more of the snow staying to our north and east. We’ll figure it out as the time gets closer!

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
