Next chance for snow on Tuesday night & Wednesday

Summary

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday will be partly to mostly sunny and warm with highs around 40 degrees. On Wednesday morning, we could see light snow and colder temperatures.

Update

Saturday's weather was mostly cloudy as moisture hung around the northern mountains of Colorado.

For Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, expect dry weather, some clouds and some sunshine, and gusty winds during each afternoon. High temperatures on the hill should be in the upper 30s to low 40s each day.

Tuesday night into Wednesday morning is when we'll see our next chance for snow. Accumulations should be light, maybe 1-3 inches if we're lucky. The upshot is that this storm will bring cooler temperatures with highs in the low 20s on Wednesday, and this will help snowmaking efforts for at least 24 hours.

Wednesday is the scheduled opening day as long as crews feel that they can safely open some runs. We'll see.

Looking farther ahead, there will be another chance or two for light snow from Friday through the following Monday (November 19-22).

For most of the next two weeks, the average storm track will stay just to our north, resulting in a few chances for light snow, but with no significant snowstorms. The combination of not-much-new-snow and not-too-cold-temperatures may mean that not much new terrain opens in the near future. I wish I had snowier news!
