Clouds and gusty winds through the weekend, next storm around the 17th

Summary

Following 8 inches of snow during the past week, we'll see dry yet cloudy conditions over the weekend. Our next chance for snow will be around the middle of next week.

Update

Friday's weather brought gusty winds and party-to-mostly cloudy skies (as shown in the image below).

For the weekend, expect similar conditions to Friday with clouds hanging around and times of gusty winds reaching 30-50mph on the summit. Temperatures will top out in the mid-30s.

During next Monday and Tuesday, the low clouds should be gone and we'll see more sunshine with warmer temperatures rising to about 40 degrees.

Snowmaking will be possible at night for the next few days, but temperatures likely won't be ideal for efficient snowmaking.

Our next chances for natural snow will be around November 17, 19, and 21. Each of these systems should cool temperatures at least a little, and while the most snow could stay well north of Colorado, at least we'll have chances for snow every few days. Maybe we'll get lucky and one of these storms will take a more favorable track, and at least, Winter Park is positioned farther north and east than many mountains, so chances are a little higher that there will be at least some snow.
