A little snow on Tuesday night

Summary

The snow forecast is looking meager, but at least we'll likely see a few flakes on Tuesday night and again during next weekend.

Update

Moisture and strong winds currently flowing over the northern mountains of Colorado and create gorgeous sunrises and that's what we saw on this (Monday) morning looking out to the east.

For Monday and Tuesday, expect dry weather with high temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s.

On Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, a storm will clip northern Colorado and we'll likely see some flakes with accumulations ranging from just a dusting to maybe an inch or two if we're lucky.

During the day on Wednesday, we'll see dry weather yet much cooler temperatures with highs in the upper teens and low 20s, and this will allow crews to make more snow and hopefully get on the path to opening a bit more terrain. Wednesday is scheduled opening day – let's hope it happens!

On Thursday and Friday, we'll return to dry weather and somewhat warmer temperatures with highs in the 30s.

During the weekend, another storm will clip northern Colorado and we could once again see a few flakes with light accumulations.

After that, our next chance for snow should be around Wed, Nov 24 – Thu, Nov 25. The current forecast models still show a low probability for a storm around this time, but at least there's a chance:-)

The most likely weather pattern for the rest of November is for the average storm track to stay just to our north. I wish that there was a higher likelihood for the storm track to sag south or for a storm to undercut the storm track and move in from the southwest, but at this point neither of those scenarios are likely.

Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
