Light snow Tuesday & the weekend

Summary

Following chances for just light snow accumulation on Tuesday and again during the weekend, there will be a chance for more snow during the days leading up to Thanksgiving.

Update

On Tuesday morning, the temperatures are warm (in the 30s) and the skies are partly cloudy as we await the next (weak) storm that will arrive during the afternoon.

The storm on Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night will bring very little snow, maybe a dusting, maybe an inch or two if we're really, really lucky. Also, summit winds will continue to be gusty with speeds of 20-40+ mph.

On Wednesday (opening day!), the weather will be dry yet cooler with high temperatures in the upper teens to low 20s. Dress warmly if you head out for the first inbounds turns of the season. Also, the cooler temperatures should help snowmaking crews crank up the snow guns.

On Thursday and Friday, dry weather will continue and temperatures will rise back into the 30s for highs.

During the weekend, another storm well to our north could bring anything from some clouds to maybe snow showers. If we do get snow, right now I expect just light accumulations.

The next chance for a more significant snowstorm will be during the days leading up to Thanksgiving. If we're lucky, a storm could pull moisture from the southwest, and maybe (maybe) that could lead to more respectable snow totals and maybe more open terrain.

Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
