Sunday morning refresh

Summary

We saw snow on Saturday night with 5 inches across the mountain. Two more light snow events could move through this week.

Update

Following Saturday's dry weather, we were hoping for a dusting to 3 inches of snow on Saturday night.

Well, the storm had other ideas and dropped about 5 inches of super fluffy snow as of early on Sunday morning.

On Saturday night, the wind direction was super favorable, from the north-northwest, and temperatures were ideal for perfect snowflake formation, but I didn't think that there would be enough moisture in the atmosphere to get us to 5 inches of snow. I was wrong and the atmosphere was right:-). We'll take the refresh, and the new fluffy snow should ride VERY nicely on the groomers and any soft/shaded aspects across the mountain (even with 5+ inches, you'll feel the bottom in areas with a firm base).

Now on Sunday morning, we're seeing more snow showers and there could be another inch or so of accumulation in the morning. The rest of Sunday could bring a few lingering snow showers and clouds with temperatures in the teens.

Monday and Tuesday will be dry and mostly sunny with highs in the low-to-mid 20s.

Wednesday and Wednesday night will be another time when we could see a light refresh of snow, with accumulations ranging from a dusting to maybe a few inches.

On Thursday and Friday, we'll flip back to dry weather with high temperatures generally in the 20s.

Then on Friday night into Saturday morning, there could be another light refresh of snow with a chance for anything from a dusting to a few inches of accumulation.

The next chance for a significant storm could be around February 16, plus or minus a day or two. This storm is still 10+ days away, so I cannot offer specific details like snow amounts, but at least we should have a stronger storm to track as we head into the middle of February.

Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
