Powder on Saturday morning

Summary

Friday night's storm delivered, and we have 6 " of powder to enjoy on Saturday morning.

Update

On Friday evening, a storm brushed by the northeastern part of Colorado. This is a decent storm track for us and we were thinking that if everything came together perfectly, we could see up to 4 inches and maybe 6 inches if we're really lucky. Well, it all worked out and the mid-mountain snow stake shows 6 inches of fluffy powder. This snow should be fun to ride on Saturday morning.

With the storm in the rear-view mirror, the forecast for Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday is for dry and mostly sunny weather all four days. In terms of clouds, Saturday and Tuesday could be times when high, thin clouds filter the sunshine. And in terms of temperatures, Saturday's readings will top out around 20°F and the high temperature from Sunday through Tuesday will be around 30°F.

Our next chance for snow will be on Wednesday, February 16 through Thursday, February 17. There are some good factors about this storm and some not-so-good factors about this storm, and putting it all together, my early estimate is that we'll see 4-8 inches of snow with a chance to enjoy powder both on Wednesday afternoon and also on Thursday morning.

After that, we should see another storm around Monday, February 21 through Tuesday, February 22. This should be another decent storm with a chance for some powder on one or both of these days.

And looking far ahead, there could/should be another storm later that week, sometime around Friday, February 25 through Saturday, February 26.

Let's hope that the forecast holds and we do see three storms during the final 10 days of February.

Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
