Friday morning powder

Summary

About 6 inches of snow fell on Thursday evening and Thursday night.

Update

Most of Thursday was not snowy, then the steadier snow began late in the afternoon and continued through Thursday night.

The mid-mountain snow stake shows about 6 inches as of Friday at 600am and this was on the lower end of the 5-10 inch range that we talked about going into the storm.

During Friday morning, we will see additional snow showers with light accumulations, then on Friday afternoon, we should see no snow and maybe some sunshine.

For Saturday and Sunday, expect mostly cloudy and windy weather. We could see snow showers during these days as well, and Saturday night might be the time for the best chance for accumulating snowfall, though I have low confidence in this scenario and will wait to see more data on Saturday morning before figuring out if we have a decent chance for additional measurable snowfall.

For next week, Monday, Tuesday, and most of Wednesday should be dry as a powerful storm stays just to our west. Then on Thursday, November 10, the storm to our west should finally move into Colorado and we could see moderate snow totals.
