Chilly with new snow

Summary

Wednesday night was stormy with gusty winds and a period of intense snow.

Update

Wednesday offered a bit of everything with 2 inches of fresh snow in the morning, dry weather during the day, and gusty winds of 40-60mph during the afternoon.

On Wednesday night, the main part of the storm moved through. This storm brought a lot of wind the fastest gust of 103mph at the summit on Wednesday night! And the new snowfall as of Thursday morning was about 6 inches.

On Thursday, there will be wind-affected new snow to start the morning, wind speeds will slowly decrease through the day, and temperatures will be cold with readings around 0°F.

From Friday midday through Monday morning, we'll see periods of snow showers that could deliver 1-7 inches of snow. The best chances for snow should be on Friday night through Saturday evening, and again from Sunday evening through Monday morning.

For early next week, Monday and Tuesday will be dry and warm with high temperatures in the 30s.

Then from about Wednesday, December 28 to about Tuesday, January 3, multiple storms will likely bring snow to Colorado, and we'll figure out the details as we move closer to this time period.
