Most of Monday was mostly sunny and dry, then from Monday afternoon to Monday night, the first storm of the week delivered clouds and light snow accumulation with 1 inch at mid-mountain.

Now on Tuesday morning, a more favorable wind from the west will help the atmosphere to generate snow showers and maybe we'll see a couple of inches of accumulation (lower chance) on Tuesday and Tuesday evening as the first storm of the week departs and the second storm of the week heads toward Colorado.

Then from Tuesday night through Wednesday, the second storm of the week will strengthen over southwestern Colorado and this will mean that the wind will blow from the east and southeast here at Winter Park. A wind from the east and southeast can lead to respectable snowfall numbers, though this storm may track a little too far to the south compared to the ideal storm track, and therefore we might only see lower-end snowfall numbers, maybe in the 1-4 inch range.

For Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, expect dry and mostly sunny weather. Thursday's high temperature will be in the single digits, then Friday and Saturday will be warmer with a high temperature in the 20s.

Looking further ahead, there is still a strong signal for stormy weather early next week, with snow potentially starting to fall around Sunday, February 19, and a high chance for moderate or even significant snow totals early next week, around Monday, February 20 to Wednesday, February 22.
