Snowy and gusty on Tuesday
Summary
A storm will bring the best chance for snow on Tuesday morning through midday, and we will also see gusty winds during this time.
Update
On Monday we saw a few snow showers from a wave of storm energy that tracked to our north. These showers delivered about one inch of snow.
Then on Monday afternoon and Monday evening, the weather was dry, and then we started to see snow just before sunrise on Tuesday morning with just a dusting of accumulation at mid-mountain.
Now on Tuesday morning and midday, the next storm should bring 2-4 inches of snow and wind gusts of 40-60 mph at the summit. More snow will likely fall to our south due to a wind direction from the west-southwest (this is not favorable for us), but enough moisture and storm energy should track over northern Colorado to bring us respectable snow totals.
Following drier weather from later Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening, another storm will move across Colorado on Wednesday. This system will track far to our south and we may be able to eke out light snow with a few inches of accumulation possible on Wednesday into Thursday midday.
Then Thursday night into Friday morning should be dry before yet another storm brings more snow from Friday midday through Friday night. We could see 2-6 inches of snow from this Friday system with low-end powder on Friday afternoon and also on Saturday morning.
Looking ahead, Saturday, March 4 should be dry, we could see showers any time between Sunday, March 5, and Wednesday, March 8, then there could be more significant snowfall sometime between Thursday, March 9, and Monday, March 13.
