Spring on Sunday and Monday, then snow returns on Monday night

Summary

Sunday and Monday will be dry and warm, then a storm will bring snow on Monday night and we should enjoy some powder on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Update

Saturday started with fresh snow and we had mostly sunny skies with a high temperature in the 30s. It was a classic spring ski day.

Sunday will be another warm day with high temperatures in the 30s and partly sunny skies.

Monday will be a mixed day with dry weather in the morning, high temperatures in the 30s, and increasing clouds. We should see the first snow showers start during the late afternoon or evening.

Monday night should deliver snow showers with a few inches of accumulation. There will be a band of intense snow across western Colorado, though I think that this band will stall to the west of Winter Park.

Tuesday, Tuesday night, and Wednesday will deliver snow showers with 5-10+ inches of snow accumulation. I have low confidence about the timing of the most intense snow or the exact snow amounts. Both Tuesday and Wednesday could offer soft and/or powder conditions, and the snow quality should be pretty fluffy due to favorable temperatures.

Then we will see a break in the storms with dry weather from Thursday, April 6 to Saturday, April 15. During this stretch, temperatures will warm with readings topping out in the 40s and 50s by the time we get to the April 10-15 time frame. This means that we'll see very soft/slush spring conditions on a lot of the mountain.

In the longer range, we might get our next storm on or around April 16th and we'll see if this comes to fruition as we get deeper into April.

Thanks for reading!
