Snow arrives on Monday evening

Summary

Monday will be dry and warm with gusty winds, then we will see snow from Monday evening through Wednesday evening.

Update

Sunday was mostly sunny with high temperatures in the 30s and gusty winds.

Monday will be similar to Sunday with partly sunny skies, high temperatures in the 30s, and another day with gusty winds at the summit. The snow stake on Monday morning is dry, though this will change by later Monday night.

Monday night should bring snow starting around sunset and this first part of the storm will likely drop 1-3 inches of snow by Tuesday morning.

Tuesday, Tuesday night, and Wednesday will deliver snow showers with 4-8+ inches of snow accumulation. I still have low confidence about the timing of the most intense snow or the exact snow amounts. Both Tuesday and Wednesday could offer soft and/or powder conditions, and the snow quality should be pretty fluffy due to favorable temperatures.

Then we will see a break in the storms with dry weather from Thursday, April 6 to about Wednesday, April 12. High temperatures from Friday to Sunday will be in the 30s, then high temperatures next Monday to Wednesday should be in the 40s.

In the longer range, we will likely see a flip back to stormy weather across the western U.S. with some snow possible here in Colorado around April 13-14, and then a higher chance for a storm around April 15-16.
