Snow begins on Saturday night

Summary

Friday and Saturday will be warm, and the weather will be mixed with some sunshine, some clouds, and a few showers. Then on Saturday night, temperatures will cool, snowflakes will return, and we will see periods of snow continue through the end of March.

Update

Thursday Night

Following sunny and warm weather on Thursday, a fast-moving storm delivered snowflakes on Thursday night, and we measured about 1 inch of new snow at mid-mountain.

Friday & Saturday

Friday will be partly sunny and warm with a high temperature in the 30s.

Saturday will likely be cloudier with a high temperature in the 30s, a shower at any time during the day, and gusty winds at the summit.

Saturday Night through early April

Starting on Saturday night, the weather pattern will flip back to winter, and most of the final eight days of March will have high temperatures in the 20s with chances for snow.

The first storm should bring snow from Saturday night to Tuesday night, with the softest conditions maybe on Monday and Wednesday mornings.

The second storm should bring snow from later Thursday into Friday morning, with potential powder early on Friday.

And the third storm should bring more snow around Sunday, March 31 to Monday, April 1.

Total snowfall from Saturday night through the end of March should be 10-20+ inches, and we'll watch for conditions to soften with each new storm. Also, if we see a period of more intense snow during one day or one night, one of these upcoming days could be a true powder day as well.

My next update will be Saturday morning.
