Winter Park Daily Snow

Saturday afternoon update - a dud!
Summary
Saturday's storm delivered just 2 inches of snow at mid-mountain, which was much lower than I was expecting. What a bummer! The storm is mostly over, and we'll see just scattered showers and light additional accumulations on Saturday night and Sunday.
Update
Saturday Recap
I had high expectations (5-10 inches) for Saturday, but added the caveat that there is "just a low chance that thunderstorms over the eastern plains of Colorado disrupt the storm's rotation enough to bring lower-than-expected snow amounts.
Unfortunately, we came in well below the low end of the forecast range with just 2 inches of snow on Saturday morning (on top of the 2 inches that fell on Friday night).
I have seen this type of low result before and in the future, I will be more cognizant of going against large forecasted snow totals when there will be convection (thunderstorms) to our east.
Saturday Night & Sunday
Saturday night and Sunday will bring a mix of snow showers and dry weather. Sunday's first turns will have variable snow quality, ranging from fun/firm groomers to some crunch if we can freeze overnight. The rest of Sunday will be warmer with a high temperature in the mid-30s.
Upcoming Week
Monday will be dry, Tuesday and Wednesday could deliver some showers, and then we will likely see cooler temperatures and some accumulating snow on Thursday and/or Friday.
Next Update
With no significant cold storms in the foreseeable future, this will be my final daily update for the season, and I'll post one more time on Monday, April 29 to wrap up the season.
Thanks for reading!
