Sunday Recap
Sunday was partly to mostly cloudy with a few snow showers, and the high temperature was in the 20s to low 30s.
Monday
Today, Monday, will be partly to mostly cloudy with a high temperature in the 30s.
Storm #1
The first storm this week will be the strongest.
Snow will fall from Monday at midnight to Tuesday at midnight, and the total snow accumulation should be 8-12 inches.
There will be a period of intense snow on Tuesday morning, and then snow will continue on Tuesday midday, afternoon, and evening.
This means Tuesday's conditions will start soft and deepen throughout the day, and Wednesday's first chair should be soft/deep/fun.
Temperatures during the storm will generally be in the 15-25°F range, so the snow quality should be pretty fluffy.
Storm #2
The second storm this week will track over southeast Colorado, and this is a reasonably good track for Winter Park.
There should be snow from Wednesday night to Thursday night with 3-7 inches of accumulation and possible powder on Thursday and again on Friday morning.
Storm #3
The third storm this week will track to the south of Colorado, and this is also a reasonably good track for Winter Park.
There should be snow from Friday night to Saturday night with 3-7 inches of accumulation and possible powder on Saturday and again on Sunday morning.
Longer Range
All of the longer-range forecast models agree that Sunday, April 6, through Tuesday, April 15 (and maybe beyond) will trend toward spring conditions with drier weather and warmer temperatures.
This 15-day forecast could change, but for now, it looks like we'll move fully into spring mode starting on Sunday.
