Warm this weekend then some snow next week

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be mostly dry, mostly sunny, and warm with on-mountain temperatures in the 40s. Next week, two storms will bring slightly colder air and a chance for snow, with maybe a few inches of accumulation both early and later in the week.

The mountain will be running for a while longer, with the Winter Park side open through April 27 and the Mary Jane side open ALAP (As Late As Possible).
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be perfect spring days with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures in the mid-to-upper 40s. Conditions will be typical of spring, with firm snow in the morning and soft snow for the rest of the day.
The only wrinkle in the upcoming weather will be gusty winds on Sunday and Monday.
For next week, earlier forecasts showed a single strong storm on Monday and Tuesday.
Now, the latest data shows two weaker systems, with one bringing light snow on Monday and Tuesday, and the other bringing a little more snow around Thursday, May 1.
Snow totals for next week look pretty low with just a couple of inches of accumulation, so it's unlikely that these two storms will produce a real powder day, but maybe one day will offer a bit softer conditions.

With next week's storms not looking all that impressive, I will write my final post of the season early next week.
