Sunny Skies after a Weekend Top-Up
Summary
The week ahead is shaping up to be fantastic after 10-20cm of fresh powder fell at the weekend. Clouds will clear out Monday, ushering in several days of sunshine as high pressure settles over the Australian Alps. Night-time temperatures will drop below freezing, perfect for more snow-making, while the brisk southerly winds will gradually ease up.
Short Term Forecast
Forecast for Monday to Friday (29th July 2nd of August)
On Monday, the clouds will dissipate early in eastern Victoria and NSW, setting up a sunny day as the strong, chilly southerly winds begin to weaken. Clouds in western Victoria will clear in the afternoon.
For Tuesday, expect a bright and sunny day, though the air will remain cool with southerly winds.
Wednesday will have the sunshine continuing, accompanied by a gentle south-southeast breeze.
Thursday and Friday will remain nice and sunny, with light winds.
Extended Forecast
This weekend might see a cool change that could bring additional snow showers, with the possibility of more into the early part of next week. Forecast models vary on the specifics and predicted amounts of snow. Despite these uncertainties, the cold weather should maintain the snowpack's condition and facilitate further snow production.
Thanks for reading. I'll continue to provide these forecasts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday throughout the southern hemisphere season.
