Cold & Clear Wednesday

Update

At 8am Wednesday morning a skiff of new snow has fallen overnight at the Challenger snow stake with blue skies and the sun shining on Lone Mountain and a temperature of - 1 degrees in the village. For today expect sunny skies and a high temperature of 17 degrees at 8000’. Expect very light west winds of 5-10mph on the ridge tops making a wind chill of around -10.

Big Sky's weather has now entered into an extended dry period, now looking to last through Sunday. Strong high-pressure builds over the NW diverting storms to the south and north of Montana. The good news is that sunny skies (daily) and gradually warming temperatures (high of 30 at 8000’ by Friday) should keep the snow stellar across the resort through Friday.
