Thursday and a peek into the Weekend

Update

At 8am Thursday morning no new snow has fallen overnight with cloudy skies over Lone Mountain and a temperature of 17 degrees in the village. For today expect the clouds to hang around through the morning before moving off around noon for a mostly sunny afternoon with a high temperature of 28 degrees at 8000’. Light West winds of 8-10mph with gusts up to 20mph will be present on the ridge tops.

Friday is still on to be a bluebird springlike day with sun and high temps (8000’) creeping above the freezing mark to around 34 degrees in the afternoon. Clouds move in with a cold front Saturday morning with increasing chances of light snow by noon that may drop an inch or two by last chair. High temps at 8000’ Saturday will be around 30 degrees. Saturday night light snow continues that may bring an additional 1-2” overnight. Sunday will be considerably colder with NW winds and a high of 19 degrees (8000’) with a few stray flurries in the morning but generally being a mostly cloudy day. The next weather system I am watching looks to arrive Monday night and last into Tuesday. Stay tuned…
