Flurries, Sun, then Snow

Summary

Snow flurries continue this morning before tapering off by noon as a minor disturbance moves out of the region. Our next system will arrive Wednesday night and will bring another shot at 1-3” by 9AM Thursday.

Update

Today:

At 7:30AM it’s 23 degrees in the Village and 16 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). A skiff of snow fell overnight. Skies are currently cloudy with snow flurries over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. 

Today a mix of clouds and flurries for the morning hours, with partial clearing by noon then sunny spells probable into the afternoon hours. Temps are currently about 10 degrees warmer than they were yesterday. Look for a high temperature of 23 degrees this afternoon at 8500’. Winds will be light to moderate out of the WSW at 15mph with gusts to 20mph.

Extended Forecast:

Another weak storm system will roll through SW Montana late Wednesday night into Thursday morning with chances of 2-4” by first chair Thursday. High temps will be low to mid 20’s at 8500’. High-pressure returns on Friday for a mostly sunny day.. Clouds start advancing on Saturday in advance of a Pacific storm system that looks to bring snow late Saturday night through Sunday. Details are still unfolding on this system. Stay tuned.
