Thursday Re-Freshies

Summary

After 3” overnight, snow showers will continue this morning dropping a few more inches before tapering off by early afternoon. The next storm system expected on Sunday is now expected to track north of the region unfortunately. Attention now turns to next Tuesday for our best chances of a significant snowfall.

Update

Today:

At 7:00AM it’s 23 degrees in the Village and 21 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’) with 3” fresh snow showing on the snow stake. Light snow is currently falling across both Lone and Andesite Mountains.

Look for snow showers, some heavy to fall during the morning hours with another 2-3” before partially clearing out during the afternoon hours with a few sunny spells possible. Mid-mountain high temperatures will be in the low 20’s at 8500’. Winds will be light to moderate out of the SW at 15mph with gusts to 25mph.

Extended Forecast:

High-pressure returns on Friday for a mostly sunny day with highs in the upper teens at 8500’. Clouds advance into the region overnight Friday into Saturday with slight chances of snow flurries through the day. Mid-mountain highs Saturday will be in the low 20’s.

On Sunday, on and off snow flurries will persist through most of the day with light accumulations possible. Finally, all three weather models are agreeing on a bigger storm system to move through the region next Tuesday. Stay tuned. Thanks for being patient.
