Fresh Start Friday

Summary

Another inch overnight brought the storm total to 4” which really has helped the mountain’s conditions as well to open up more terrain. The next chance of measurable snow is expected on Monday night followed by more snow on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Update

Today:

At 7:00AM it’s 20 degrees in the Village and 14 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’) with 1” of fresh snow showing on the snow stake. Skies are currently cloudy across both Lone and Andesite Mountains. 

Today expect the clouds to stick around through the morning with partial clearing during the afternoon hours with a chance of a sunny spell or two. Mid-mountain high temperatures will be in the low 20’s at 8500’. Winds will be light to moderate out of the W/SW at 15mph with gusts to 25mph.

 Extended Forecast:

Clouds return on Saturday along with gusty W/SW winds of 25-40mph that will make it a rather cold day across the alpine areas and ridge tops. Mid-mountain highs Saturday will be around 19 degrees. On Sunday, clouds stick around with a stray snow flurry possible but no accumulations likey. Next storm system approaches on Monday night that looks to bring light snow into Wednesday. Details of this system are still being worked out and will be updated daily right here.
