Bluebird Christmas Eve
Summary
Bluebird day in waiting as high-pressure is in full command today. Christmas Day will also bring the sun and comfortable daytime temperatures in the mid to upper 20’s but with a few more afternoon high clouds. The next storm system will hit the region Saturday and Saturday night with 3-6” possible. Things clear out slowly on Sunday.

Today:
At 7:00AM it’s 3 degrees in the Village and 16 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). Skies are currently crystal clear over both Lone and Andesite Mountains. Currently at the top of Andesite winds are calm.
Easy forecast for today. Sunny skies will rule the day. Bluebird kind of day with high temperatures at 8900’ rising to 26 degrees. West/SW winds will be light from 10-15mph with an occasional ridge top gust to 25mph.
Extended Forecast:
Another beautiful day with abundant sun will be the outlook for most of Christmas Day. Daytime highs at 8900’ will rise to around 29 degrees. Clouds will be on the increase later in the afternoon in advance of our next storm system. Snow showers move in late Saturday morning with 1-3” possible by last chair. Snow showers continue into Saturday night with another 2-4” possible. Sunday looks transitionary with clouds, flurries, colder temps along with a few late sunny spells. Things look to fully clear out Monday before unsettled weather returns towards the middle of next week. Happy Holidays and be respectful of others!
