Summary
High-pressure has caused sections of patchy fog to develop across Lone and Andesite this morning. Expect that fog to burn off by mid-morning for a partly sunny day with chilly high temps in the middle teens. Skies will remain dry through Wednesday morning when chances of light snow return to the forecast.
Update
Today:
At 7:00AM it’s 15 degrees in the Village and 10 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). No new snow was reported in the last 24-hours. Skies are currently cloudy, with fog over sections of Lone and Andesite Mountains. Light NW winds at the top of Andesite are currently blowing at 2mph.
Today expect a partly cloudy morning with sections of fog becoming partly sunny by noon and into the afternoon hours. High temperatures across mid to upper mountain locations (9000’) will be around 16 degrees by mid-afternoon. Light North/NW winds will be at 5-10mph.
Extended Forecast:
The clouds diminish and mostly sunny skies return for Sunday with daytime highs of around 16-18 degrees at 9000’. on both days. Look for a dry forecast of partly sunny skies for the period Monday through Wednesday with continued cold daytime high temps (9000’) of 13-15 degrees.
