Partly Sunny and Cold / Snow Returns to the Forecast
Summary
Hit Repeat: Tuesday will bring a chilly morning with a few high clouds and single digit temps until around eleven when the sun rises high enough to gradually warm the mountains into the mid-teens through the afternoon hours. Light snow returns Wednesday afternoon and looks to stay through Saturday with light daily accumulations.
Update
Today:
At 7:00AM it’s -0- degrees in the Village and 3 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). No new snow was reported in the last 24-hours. Skies are currently mostly clear with high clouds over Lone and Andesite Mountains. Light East winds at the top of Andesite are currently blowing at 7mph.
For the most part, a repeat of yesterday with a touch more high clouds. Another cold and crisp morning will make way for a partly sunny day with high temperatures across mid to upper mountain locations (9000’) around 14 degrees. South/SW winds will be at 5-10 mph with gusts to 20 mph up on the ridgetops.
Extended Forecast:
Partly sunny skies start off Wednesday morning with increasing clouds by noon and bring chances of flurries into the afternoon. High temps will be around 18 degrees. Light flurries continue off and on overnight Wednesday and into the day on Thursday with minimal accumulations of less than an inch. Weather models are indicating persistent moisture on a SW flow that will bring chances of a few inches Friday and 2 to 3 inches Saturday. Sunday looks to be dry with chances of snow returning next Monday.
