Freshies to Start the Weekend
Summary
6 inches fell up at Headwaters in the last 24-hours with 3 inches overnight that should make for some nice turns this morning. A slight chance of picking up another inch or two by noon (Saturday) could make it even better. Sunday now looks to be a sunny day with measurable snowfall returning Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Today:
At 7:00AM it’s 25 degrees in the Village and 18 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). 3 inches of new snow fell overnight with 6 inches in the last 24 hours. Currently the skies are cloudy with snow flurries falling over Lone and Andesite Mountains. West/NW winds at the top of Andesite are currently blowing at 4 mph with a recent gust to 11 mph.
Today expect off and on flurries through the morning hours with another inch or two by noon possible. Things start to clear off around noon for a partly cloudy afternoon with a few sunny spells as well. Temperatures across mid to upper mountain locations (9000’) will be cooler today with a high around 20 degrees. West/SW winds will be at 10 mph with gusts to 20 mph up on the ridgetops.
Extended Forecast:
High-pressure builds in for mostly sunny skies on Sunday and Monday with seasonal daytime high temps. After a sunny start Tuesday, clouds increase by afternoon with snow likely into Tuesday night. Wednesday looks promising with several inches of snow likely through the day. Unsettled, snow showery weather looks to stick around through Friday.
