Sunny Sunday / Storm Brewing for Midweek
Summary
3 inches fell up at Headwaters in the last 24-hours making the 2-day storm total 9 inches there, with 8 inches over on Andesite. Now, high-pressure will deliver mostly sunny days along with slightly warmer afternoon temps for today through Tuesday. A decent storm moves in Tuesday night into Wednesday that could bring another 5 to 10 inches.

Today:
At 7:00AM it’s 8 degrees in the Village and 8 degrees at the top of Andesite Mountain (at 8800’). 3 inches of new snow fell in the last 24 hours. Currently the skies are mostly clear over Lone and Andesite Mountains. East winds at the top of Andesite are currently blowing at 7 mph with a recent gust to 10 mph.
Today expect a mostly sunny day with a few scattered high clouds in the mix as well. Temperatures across mid to upper mountain locations (9000’) will be slightly warmer today with a high around 25 degrees. Winds will shift to the south later this morning blowing at 10-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph up on the ridgetops.
Extended Forecast:
High-pressure solidifies for continued mostly sunny skies on Monday and Tuesday with seasonal daytime high temps. Tuesday night, clouds increase with snow developing before midnight with 3 - 5 inches likely overnight. Wednesday also looks promising with another 2 to 4 inches likely through the day. Unsettled, snow showery weather looks to stick around through next Friday with high-pressure returning Saturday.
