Sprung Back into Winter - Another Storm Next Week Too

Summary

Our next storm system has already entered the house with 3 inches overnight. Look for another 3 to 5 inches Thursday with heavier amounts of 4 to 6 inches Thursday night/Friday morning. High-pressure builds Friday afternoon and looks to bring a mostly sunny and warm spring weekend. Another, and possibly more potent storm is on track for Monday/Tuesday.

Update

Today:

At 7:00AM it’s 20 degrees in the Village and 15 degrees at the 8800’ level of Andesite Mountain. 3 inches of new snow fell in the past 24-hours, all falling overnight. Currently the skies are cloudy with light snow falling over Lone and Andesite mountains. Current winds at the top of Andesite are blowing from the South at 3 mph with a recent gust to 10 mph.

Today expect cloudy skies with light snow in the morning building up to steady snow during the afternoon hours with 3 to 5 inches likely by last chair. Winds will be blowing out of the NW at 8 to 12 mph. High temperatures across the upper mountain locations (at 9000’) will be around 26 degrees.

Extended Forecast:

Thursday night, another wave of moisture moves through with 4 to 6 additional inches likely. A few morning residual snow showers Friday morning could bring another inch before the skies start to clear off by midday Friday. A return to more traditional spring weather with mostly sunny skies and above average temperatures are in store for Saturday and Sunday. Here comes another one as a robust Pacific storm system barrels in on Monday bringing a good dose of measurable snowfall through Tuesday along with much colder temps. Temps will fall to around 10 degrees below seasonal averages by Tuesday.

Powder Out –
