Storm Recap

We picked up another 2 inches on Monday ahead of the storm departing through Monday night. We came into the storm thinking that we would receive up to 7 inches and we ended up 7 inches. We'll take it.

Tuesday - Wednesday

We'll now receive a break in the action from Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon.

Temps will slowly climb from the low single digits on Tuesday morning up into the low 20s by Tuesday afternoon under sunny skies. For Wednesday, temps will also start in the single digits and climb into the 20s ahead of increasing cloud coverage and gusty winds on Wednesday afternoon.

Wednesday Night - Thursday

The storm on Wednesday night is still on track and is now set to arrive around 9 PM. This storm will pack a strong cold front and a wind out of the northwest but the speed and quick drop in temperatures will limit our overall snow potential through Wednesday night.

In total, look for 1-3 inches in Thursday morning's report thanks to a couple of hours of heavy snowfall rates on Wednesday night, followed by a few lingering snow showers throughout the day on Thursday. But as I mentioned, it will likely just be too cold to really have efficient snowmaking on Thursday.

If you do plan to get out on Thursday, bundle up. Temps will start below 0F and only rise into the single digits and will likely feel much colder thanks to a brisk wind out of the north.

Friday - Saturday

The arctic chill on Thursday will quickly move out by Friday as much warmer air settles in for the weekend. Expect sunny skies, light winds, and temps in the upper 20s on Friday, followed by partly sunny skies and temps in the 30s on Saturday.

Sunday & Beyond

Following the break to start the upcoming weekend, we'll be tracking a chance for light snow by the second half of Sunday and into next Monday, February 13. As of now, this storm could deliver mostly light snow or the bulk of the energy could miss us entirely to the south so we'll see how it trends.

Our full attention for next week will remain on Wednesday, February 15 as all models continue to show the potential for a stronger storm so keep your schedules open for powder turns on Wednesday and/or Thursday.

Looking further ahead, we could receive another break next weekend (February 17-19) ahead of more chances for snow during the week of February 20. It will be great news if we can stay in a pattern of at least 1-2 rounds of moderate snowfall per week as we flip the calendar into March.
