Subtropical airmass approaches with rain issues late this week

Summary

An atmospheric river featuring subtropical moisture and warm temps will impact BC on Thursday & Friday with snow changing to rain at mid-mtn or higher for many ski areas by Friday with peak snow levels reaching 1,500-1,800 meters. Snow levels start to drop Sat as a weak storm arrives followed by a further drop on Sun with additional snow showers. A stronger (& colder) storm is possible Jan 17-18.
