Weekend update, plus a look ahead into February

Summary

On Saturday morning, the northern mountains received 2-4 inches of snow, and there should be additional accumulations through Saturday night. Then next week, the storm will bring snow showers to the southern mountains, and as we head into February, the weather pattern will likely become stormy across the western U.S.
