Update at 700pm Monday Night

Update

Monday's snow mostly stayed near and north of I-70. About 1-2 inches accumulated during the day with perhaps a bit more around Cameron Pass.

Now at 7pm on Monday evening, the last wave of heavy snow has stalled over the resorts near I-70. It appears that a quick 2-4 inches has accumulated around Beaver Creek, Vail, and Copper, and perhaps other mountains nearby. This heavy snow should continue for the next 1-3 hours and then will finally move away by about 9-10pm.

Skiing on Tuesday morning at the mountains near I-70 should be soft and powdery with perhaps 3-6 inches of fresh.

Most of Tuesday should be dry, then the next wave of heavy snow should drop another 3-6+ inches on the northern and central mountains on Tuesday night, and this means that Wednesday morning will be the second powder day in a row, and could offer deeper and softer turns than Tuesday simply because you'll be skiing two day's worth of pow.

Have a great night and I'll be back with a full update on Tuesday morning.
