Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update
On Thursday we saw a mix of sunshine and high, thin clouds with high temperatures in the teens to 20s.
Now on Friday morning, there is a blanket of lower, thicker clouds just to the north of the mountain and I think the clouds will sty to the north and that we’ll luck out with sunshine through the day. If it’s not going to snow at least it should be sunny! High temperatures should warm into the 20s.
On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday we’ll continue to see dry weather with high temperatures generally in the 30s. The sunniest day will likely be Saturday, with more high, thin clouds filtering the sunshine on Sunday and Monday.
I still expect a chance for some snow from later on Tuesday through Wednesday midday. The storm will be coming from the southwest and this is generally not a favorable direction for significant snow in Colorado’s northern mountains. I’ll stick with my 1-4 inch forecast. Odds favor the low side of this range, though if a few intense cells track over the mountain, maybe we will wind up with a few more inches. The timing of the snow means that we could see flakes on Christmas Eve night and Christmas morning.
Looking ahead toward the final five days of December and into early January, all models show that storms will be roaming around the western United States. It’s just too soon to know if we will see just a few shots of snow for Colorado now and again, or if we can get into a significant multi-day or multi-week storm cycle.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
