Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update

Saturday was a beautiful, mostly sunny day with afternoon high temperatures in the 30s.

On Sunday and Monday, we’ll continue to see dry weather with high temperatures generally in the 30s. We will see clouds filtering or blocking the sun on both days. These clouds are heading toward Colorado well in advance of our next storm.

On Tuesday I expect most of the day to be dry with mostly cloudy skies and slightly cooler temperatures with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s.

Tuesday night into Wednesday morning will be our best chance for snow. The storm will bring lots of moisture, which is a necessary ingredient for snow, but the wind direction from the south and southwest is not favorable for significant snow. I’ll keep my forecast to 1-4 inches. Odds are for the lower end of the forecast range unless we get lucky and see a few stronger cells, or a narrow band of more intense snow over western Colorado happens to move much farther east than predicted and hit the mountain.

After Wednesday, I do not see any significant storms in the 10-day outlook. There could be a few showers around later in the week, and there is a chance for some snow around New Years if the storm track moves just a bit farther west. I’ll keep my eyes locked onto this longer-range forecast and will let you know if the forecast adjusts in the snowier direction.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
