On Thursday, we saw one inch of snow in the morning and this brought our Wednesday-to-Thursday storm total snowfall to about 3 inches.

Now on Friday, we’ll see sunny skies and comfortable temperatures rising into the upper 20s to low 30s.

On Friday night into Saturday morning, a weak storm could bring a few snow showers and accumulations should be an inch or less.

On Saturday we should see dry weather around late morning, then the next storm could bring an early-round of snow showers on Saturday afternoon or evening though accumulations should still be light.

Then the main storm will bring snow from Saturday night through Monday night with significant accumulations.

Sunday will start with some snow from Saturday night and then 2-4 inches during the day. Snow will continue on Sunday night with another 3-6 inches, and we should see (perhaps lighter) snowfall throughout the day on Monday, with snowflakes maybe even hanging around on Monday night and Tuesday.

Total snowfall from this storm should be in the 6-12+ inch range. If a combination of positive factors (the jet stream overhead and a cold front near the ground) stall near or over the mountain, we could see 12+ inches from this storm.

In terms of timing the powder, Sunday should offer thicker, denser powder thanks to warmer air, and then the snow quality should become fluffier and the powder deeper on Monday. There might be leftover powder on Tuesday.

Looking further ahead, we should see dry weather from about Wednesday, February 19th through Sunday, February 23rd. Then our next chance for a storm will be around Monday, February 24th or Tuesday, February 25th.
