Copper is closed, but here is the forecast anyway

Update

Copper is closed until at least Sunday, March 22nd.

While there will be not lift-serviced skiing at Copper, I will continue to update the Copper Daily Snow forecast because I know many people are still interested in tracking storms and earning turns by hiking and skinning.

From Monday through Tuesday, expect mostly dry weather with comfortable temperatures topping out in the 30s and 40s.

On Wednesday, the next storm will approach Colorado and we might see a few showers by the end of the day.

On Wednesday night and Thursday, expect significant snow with double-digit accumulations possible (10+ inches). Thursday should be a powder day if you’re able to earn your turns.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday could bring additional snow showers thanks to lingering energy and moisture.

Then next Monday or Tuesday, we should see a more well-defined storm. And there could be another storm later next week, sometime around March 25-27.

I will continue to post a new forecast each morning, and if I hear that Copper will re-open, I will post that information here.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and remember that this too shall pass!
