On Thursday, fluffy snow fell during most of the day with 2 inches of accumulation at the mid-mountain snow stake.

On Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, it'll be four days with sunny skies and warmer temperatures. Friday will be cooler with a high around 20°F, then the high temperature on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will rise to the upper 20s to mid-30s. Each morning could feature a temperature inversion, where temperatures at the base are 5-15 degrees colder than temperatures higher up on the mountain.

Our next chance for snow will be from a storm that moves through on Tuesday, February 1, to Wednesday, February 2. There is a high likelihood that we will see snow during these days, but there is also a pretty high likelihood that the amount of snow will be on the lower side. Still, there could be some soft turns on Tuesday and/or Wednesday, and if the storm takes a somewhat more favorable track, our snow totals could wind up being more significant.

Following the storm on February 1-2, there could be light snow showers during February 3-5, and then there's about a 50/50 chance that we could see a moderate or strong storm during the following week of February 7-11.
