Snow ends, spring begins

Summary

Tuesday brought snow showers, and now the next six days will be warm with spring conditions.

Update

Tuesday and Tuesday evening brought snow showers about as we expected, and the snow accumulation was 2 inches at mid-mountain.

Now on Wednesday morning, there will be some soft/fresh snow to enjoy as about one inch of snow fell just after lifts closed on Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday morning will feel like winter with new snow on the ground, chilly temperatures in the single digits and teens, and sunshine.

The forecast for the next six days (Wednesday, March 23 to Monday, March 28) is pretty easy as we'll see dry weather, mostly sunny skies, and warming temperatures each day. Highs on Wednesday will be in the 20s, on Thursday and Friday will rise into the 30s, and on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday we'll zoom into the 40s and these days will bring classic spring skiing and riding.

Our next chances for snow will be around Tuesday, March 29, and Saturday, April 2. But like yesterday's post, I'm going to hold off on mentioning any details about these storms as there's not enough consensus amongst all of the models, and it could be a couple more days before we do achieve more of a consensus.

Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
