Warm weekend, snow next week
Summary
We will see very warm temperatures on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday before snow returns on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Update
Friday was sunny and very warm with on-mountain temperatures ranging from about 35-45°F.
Now on early Saturday morning, we can see a mix of a few clouds and clear skies with some brightening in the eastern sky.
On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, expect classic spring conditions with partly sunny skies, very warm on-mountain temperatures in the 40s, and the best snow conditions likely during the mid-to-late morning when the snow is soft but not too soft.
Then from Monday night through Wednesday afternoon, a storm will bring snow. The latest forecast models look pretty good, and my confidence is increasing that we'll see at least 5-10 inches of accumulation. For timing, snow should fall during the day on Tuesday with potentially softening conditions, and then the best chance for more intense (or at least steady) snow will be from later Tuesday into Wednesday morning leading to Wednesday morning as the likely time with the best snow quality and the deepest powder. Also, snow showers should continue during the day on Wednesday.
After that, Thursday will likely be dry, then we should see more snow showers around Friday, April 1st with perhaps just a few inches of snow accumulation.
Thanks for reading and please check back each morning for daily updates!
