Snow returns on Tuesday

Summary

Monday will be the final warm day before we see cooler temperatures and snow on Tuesday into Wednesday.

Update

Sunday was another gorgeous spring day with mostly sunny skies and on-mountain high temperatures rising to 45-55°F.

Monday will be the final warm day in this stretch with temperatures rising into the upper 40s and some high clouds filtering the sunshine at times.

Then the weather will switch from spring to winter with snow returning on late Monday night and continuing through Wednesday afternoon. From Monday night through Tuesday mid-afternoon, we could see some showers with low accumulations. Then from Tuesday mid-afternoon through Wednesday mid-morning, a favorable wind from the northwest should deliver the steadiest snow of the storm. And from Wednesday mid-morning through Wednesday evening, there should be more snow showers, but I have lower confidence in significant snow accumulations. Storm total snowfall should be in the 5-10 inch range, and we could go over 10 inches as the favorable northwest wind can bring an upside surprise. I think the softest and deepest riding should be from Wednesday morning into Wednesday midday.

Following the storm, we'll see dry weather from Wednesday night through Thursday night, then a weaker storm should bring light snow between Thursday night and Friday night with maybe a few inches of accumulation.

After that, Saturday and Sunday should be dry and warm with high temperatures in the 30s and low 40s, then we could see a storm around Monday, April 4 to Tuesday, April 5.
