Snowy Saturday

Summary

We'll enjoy some late-season freshies on Saturday.

Update

On Friday night, the storm came through at the high end of the range that we expected with 5 inches of snow falling at mid-mountain.

This made for softer turns on the groomers on Saturday morning, though the crust is still there on non-groomed slopes.

During the day on Saturday, we'll likely see another few inches of snow thanks to on-then-off snow showers during the day. My guess is that accumulations will be in the 1-3 inch range, though if we get lucky with a stronger shower hitting the mountain, we could see 4-5 inches. I still think that the crust will be present under the new snow, but conditions should be reasonably soft.

On Saturday night and Sunday, snow showers will wane and additional snow accumulations should be light.

On Sunday, which is closing day, there is a chance that intense snow showers pop up for a few hours and deliver a few inches of snow during the late afternoon into the evening, though this is a pretty low chance (the showers could stay just south and east of the mountain) and also could come just after lifts close for the season.
