A little bit of snow on Friday morning

Summary

There will be a few inches of fresh snow on the hill Friday morning.

Update

Thursday was dry and partly sunny, and most of Thursday night stayed dry while snow fell just to our north.

Then toward sunrise on Friday morning, the snow finally arrived at Copper and we received about 1 inch before the morning snow report and another 1 inch has fallen as of 7 am.

Snowfall should continue for another 1-3 hours on Friday morning, through mid-morning, so we might eke out another inch or two (or three?) for a total of maybe 3-4 inches. This should freshen and soften the trails for first chair and it's always fun to cruise around with new snow on top of groomers.

Looking ahead, we won't have much weather to talk about for at least 7-10 days.

The weekend will be dry and sunny with high temperatures in the 20s.

Early next week will be dry and sunny with high temperatures in the 30s.

Around Wednesday, November 23 to Thursday, November 24, there is a low chance for a little bit of snow if a storm happens to track close enough to Colorado, but this is a low chance.

Then during the final days of November and into early December, we have about a 50/50 chance that storminess along the west coast will move east and bring snow to Colorado. Let's hope that these odds improve!
