Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Skies will vary between partly and mostly cloudy on Thursday and Friday as a storm spins well to the southwest of Copper (over the Baja Peninsula). I think this storm will be far enough away that it will not drop any snow on Thursday or most of Friday. From Friday afternoon through Saturday night, there could be enough energy that pushes north to Copper, and we could see small snow accumulations. There is about a 30% chance that stronger energy pushes into the I-70 corridor and brings more than a few inches of snow, but unfortunately that's a low-probability scenario.
Sunday should be a dry and sunny day, so enjoy the skiing and then head in to catch the Super Bowl in the afternoon. From next Monday through Thursday, a northwest flow will bring clouds and some snow to northern Colorado, including Copper. We'll likely see some snow accumulations during this time, but it's too early to know if the storm track will be close enough to Colorado to drop significant snowfall (I'd put this likelihood at only a 30-40%, for now).
